About Royal Jordanian

Royal Jordanian is the national flag carrier of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with its origins reaching back to 1963. The airline was founded that year under the name "Alia" — named after Princess Alia bint Al Hussein — and grew over the following decades into the carrier known today as Royal Jordanian. From its base at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, it has built a reputation as Jordan's window onto the world, carrying travellers between the kingdom and destinations across four continents.

In 2007 Royal Jordanian became the first Arab airline to join the global oneworld alliance, opening its passengers' journeys to a far wider web of connections and shared benefits. Its fleet brings together Airbus A320-family jets, Embraer E-Jets (including the newer E195-E2) and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, serving a network that links Amman with Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. On board, the airline offers Crown Class for business travellers alongside a comfortable Economy cabin, while the Royal Club frequent-flyer programme lets members earn and redeem miles across the route map.

For travellers in the UAE, Pack & Go (باك آند جو) is an authorized ticketing agent that books Royal Jordanian flights on your behalf. The Pack & Go team handles new bookings, date changes and cancellations by WhatsApp or email during working hours from 9am to 6pm, and walks you through a simple three-step process: send your travel date and a copy of your passport, an agent confirms the details and price, then you choose a payment method. Payment can be made by bank deposit or bank transfer, with card and Tabby also accepted.

Features & services

Crown Class

Royal Jordanian's business cabin offers wide seats and attentive service. On the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Crown Class seats convert into fully flat 180-degree beds for genuine rest on long flights, arranged 2-2-2 for easy aisle access. Benefits include priority check-in and boarding, refined dining and a larger checked-baggage allowance. Pack & Go is happy to confirm Crown Class availability on your route when you book.

Economy Class

Royal Jordanian Economy combines comfort with warm, friendly service. On the Boeing 787 you get personal seatback screens with hundreds of films and shows that are refreshed regularly, plus onboard Wi-Fi rolling out across the fleet. All meals are 100% halal, with a varied menu of Western, Oriental and Asian dishes: two hot meals on long-haul flights and a meal or light snack on shorter routes.

Crown Lounge at Queen Alia

Before your flight from Amman, the Crown Lounge at Queen Alia International Airport welcomes Crown Class passengers and top-tier members around the clock. It features live cooking stations serving fresh pizza, pasta and Jordanian manakeesh, a café and bar with specialty coffee, plus shower facilities, a quiet room to unwind and high-speed Wi-Fi. An elegant space that turns the wait for your flight into part of the comfort.

Global Reach via oneworld

As the first Arab airline to join the oneworld alliance in 2007, Royal Jordanian connects you to a global network of oneworld member airlines serving over 900 destinations in around 170 countries and territories. That means wider travel options, smooth connections between flights and the ability to earn and redeem miles across every alliance carrier, with extra perks for higher-tier members such as priority service and lounge access worldwide.

Royal Club Frequent-Flyer Programme

The Royal Club programme lets you earn miles on every eligible flight with Royal Jordanian and oneworld partners, then redeem them for tickets, upgrades and extra baggage. Membership starts at Bronze Sunbird and rises through Silver Jay, Gold Sparrow and Platinum Hawk, each tier unlocking richer benefits. Popular redemptions include upgrading from Economy to Crown Class and adding extra baggage allowance, so your travel keeps rewarding you.
